Korea Launches Future Earth

The new committee, called Future Earth Korea, is hosted by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) and is endorsed by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Korea. Prof. Soon-Chang Yoon, KAST's Vice President for External Relations, will serve as the first Chair of Future Earth Korea.

The list of the inaugural members of the Committee can be downloaded here.  More members are expected to join from wider sectors including business, industry, media and education.

Other Future Earth committees have been established in two other areas including China and Taipei.
