Georgi Zohrabyan


Georgi is a Fulbright scholar from Armenia working towards a Master's degree in Environmental Science at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, minoring in Sustainable Enterprise at Syracuse University. As an Edmund S. Muskie fellow, he joins the Future Earth US Global Hub to support the Sustainability Research and Innovation 2021 Congress, contribute to the planning of the SRI2022 Congress and support the preparation of the Future Earth Assembly. Georgi's academic concentration is in environmental policy, planning, communication, and society. He is particularly interested in the human dimensions of the environment, currently researching the opportunities of accelerating sustainable development initiatives in his home country and localizing sustainable development strategies through proactive citizen engagement. Before arrival in the US, Georgi worked for the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and has been actively engaged in sustainable community development projects across Armenia.
