Marta Ferri

Researcher, Lancaster University Management School

Marta Ferri is a Research Associate at Lancaster University Management School in the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology, and a member of the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business. Her research, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, focuses on single-use plastics and circular economy solutions to address the plastic crisis. Drawing on Science and Technology Studies, she has extensive experience in ethnographic fieldwork. Marta currently works on the Engineering and EPSRC-funded project “In the Loop,” a spin-off of the UKRI NERC-funded “Plastic Packaging in People’s Lives” Project. She is a member of the Opening the Bin, an international community of social science and humanities waste studies scholar.
