Updated: Contributing to an implementation strategy for Future Earth in Asia: The 5th International Workshop on Future Earth in Asia
A full-two-day workshop will be held at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) with the following objectives:
- Bring together a number of communities in Asia, including representatives from Global Research Projects, RIHN, and Future Earth-related groups; and
- Engage in discussions relevant to a strategic plan to be developed by the Regional Advisory Committee and to provide Asia-specific inputs into global-level Future Earth processes.
The workshop will highlight the work of the Asia-based Future Earth research communities and the recent organizational development in the region and to reflect on what it means for a mostly globally-conceptualized project to work in the Asia region.
Following the Workshop, the Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) will meet to develop an Implementation Plan for Future Earth in Asia, taking into account the inputs from the Workshop.
