Call for abstracts: JpGU-AGU Joint Meeting 2017
The Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) and American Geophysical Union (AGU) will hold their first joint meeting in Chiba, Japan. The event will run from 20 to 25 May 2017 and will examine “frontier research in all areas of Space and Planetary Sciences, Atmosphere and Hydrosphere Sciences, Human Geosciences, Solid Earth Sciences, and Biogeosciences.”
The deadline to submit abstracts for this conference is 16 February. To learn more about this event or to submit a proposal, see the meeting website.
Future Earth will have a strong presence at this event. The programme is helping to organise three sessions that will contribute to Future Earth’s Knowledge-Action Networks on Health and Oceans. Researchers in the Future Earth community can contribute to each of these sessions by submitting abstracts through the conference website:
- 20 May: Future Earth – Implementing Integrated Research for Sustainable Future (M-IS03)
- 21 May: Innovative research at the intersection of geoscience and health science (U-05)
- 23 May: Research for a healthy ocean and a sustainable use of its resources and services (A-OS20)
Future Earth will contribute to a session organised by our partner, the Northern Eurasia Future Initiative (NEFI) on 20 May: Environmental, socio-economic and climatic changes in Northern Eurasia (M-IS01).
